Funding for hanging artwork granted!
Our goal has always been to hang winning artwork around the building. The Wartburg College Strategic Initiative Fund has granted us some funds that will help make that possible! Thank you to the fund for its support of this interdisciplinary endeavor. Now, submit your artwork so we have something to put into those frames.

2013/2014 Competition - updates
The 2nd Science Center Art Competition is open to all students, alums, faculty, and staff, regardless of major. The artwork should celebrate some aspect of math or science and should be accompanied by a single paragraph explaining the science found in the art. All mediums that can easily be displayed are welcome. Last year photography was by far the most common, but we also had paintings, drawings, and textiles. The original deadline was set to be immediately after break, but we've extended the deadline to March 31 to allow for more entries. Last year's honorable mentions and winners are on display in the front display case. Eventually winning entries will be used to decorate other areas of the science center. WE KNOW THAT THERE IS TALENT OUT THERE. SUBMIT YOUR WORK FOR AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE IT MORE BROADLY.
Additional
information:
1)
Entries will be judged by a panel of professors. Evaluation will be based
on both aesthetics and the accompanying science.
2)
Please do not frame artwork, unless the
framing is a necessary part of your project.
3)
Submit artwork to Dr. Samantha Larimer
Bousquet (SC 67) or Mary Peters (SC 64) by Monday, March 31.
Your science paragraph and biographic information should be e-mailed to Samantha.Larimer@(schoolname).edu by the
same date.
4)
All artwork becomes the property of the
science center and may be placed on display, with the understanding that the
artist retains copyright and their name will always accompany the artwork.
5)
Participants are limited to 2 entries per
person. Biographical information

graduation year (if student), major(s) and minor(s) (if student), position on
